Benjamin Moore describes the color as, “a refreshing alternative to white or beige, First Light 2102-70 is a soft, airy pink that flatters any space.”
I describe it as a soft and rosy hue that reminds me of a “blush” color.
It’s a happy hue:
I love this look! It is refreshing and the color brings a softness to the room.
Just a splash of the color on an accent wall looks spectacular especially when the color is balanced with white trim, black and natural wood accents and a splash of green.
Home Happiness Tip: when using any color for your accent wall, be sure to pull the color around the room with small touches of the color such as in a piece of art, pillows or a throw. That’s the secret in making an accent color work and make sense in a room.
I have received several requests asking for the colors painted in the master bedroom of the home I recently sold. The picture I purchased for the wall was my inspiration for the paint colors selected.
The colors were: Lower section color: Sherwin Williams 9152—Let it Rain; the upper section color: SW 7030—Anew Gray. A white border separates the two colors. This color combination made the room feel calming and very relaxing, something a master suite should do.
What do you do that is easy, affordable and can bring impact to my entry? First, let’s make it memorable! A home’s entry is your first impression. Why not take advantage of the opportunity and add just one of these ideas to your entry. Hope these photos and ideas will help to inspire you!
1) Statement lighting; 2) A painted door; 3) A chest of drawers or a functional side table; 4. A mirror or fun piece of art; 5) A fun pair of hooks to hang coats, hats and umbrellas.
